After consolidating all my email accounts circa 2004, I’ve been an avid gmail archiver. Everything I’ve ever emailed, almost literally, is stored within one, centralized account. I’ve forwarded my corporate email. I’ve forwarded the half dozen gmail aliases I have. I’ve forwarded the “no recipient” mail for the hundred or so domains I manage. I’ve archived cron job results, closure messages from ex-girlfriends, web access logs, and even, occasionally, stuff worth saving.
And, finally, after all these years, I might have to start considering what is actually worth keeping.
